“A wonderful tutor, very cheerful and professional.
With Victoria, we focused particularly on Writing and Speaking, as these were my weakest areas. We had online classes for about 2 months.

I really liked that all types of tasks were structured on a special platform, which made it convenient to study independently, honing what we covered during the online sessions. And just before the exam, I regularly used this platform to memorize various constructions, peek at “advanced” vocabulary, and frameworks for letters – it was very, very convenient!

Point A: Anastasia started seriously considering admission to a foreign university, but her English was at a “school” level, she lacked practice and was unfamiliar with the exam format.

She faced significant challenges with the writing part – had never written essays or described graphs before. Had doubts about the online format, as she was accustomed to offline classes with a blackboard.

Point B: Overall 8.0, C1 (L9.0, R9.0, W7.0, S7.5). Admitted to Carleton University biochemistry & biotechnology (Canada, with a scholarship). Received invitations from many other universities: University of Waterloo, McMaster University, Simon Fraser University. Anastasia was very impressed with the platform used for the writing part, realizing it saved a lot of time during online sessions and eliminated tension/stress (as often experienced in a “school” environment). She understood that describing graphs and writing essays was not in vain – throughout her first year at university, she had to write laboratory reports for three subjects: she was able to apply the knowledge and skills acquired, and even outperformed her native English-speaking classmates in grades! Psychological support from Victoria was important for Anastasia – she doubted her abilities and thought she would never be 100% ready. In the end, she was sent for the exam, passed it successfully, and believed in her abilities!

Point A: Overall 6.0. Natalia is a teacher herself (conducting a Russian language course at one of the universities in Moscow), so her criteria for choosing a teacher were strict. To apply for linguistics in Germany, she needed to raise her level to 6.5.

Previously, she attended a language school, which was not very productive, then worked with another teacher, but it was not very comfortable: the teacher often canceled lessons and was not adequately prepared for them. Natalia found Victoria on the Profi.ru website and also studied her profile on Instagram: based on qualifications and expert content, she understood that she could be trusted, but hesitated because of the high cost of classes.

Point B: Overall 6.5, B2 (L6.5, R7.0, W6.0, S7.0). Admitted to linguistics at the University of Potsdam. As an educator, Natalia noted that Victoria did not provide any comments on the reality of the timeframe and goals before the diagnostic test, which required completing a trial version. The interview to discuss the test results was short and free, which was convenient and safe. Natalia highlighted Victoria’s fairly fast speech pace as an important factor that helps maintain focus and the pace of the lesson, brilliant preparation for classes, and adherence to the plan. Natalia is glad that she managed to pass the exam and enroll in Germany before 2022. She notes that she learned many exam tricks that helped her cope with tasks faster, as well as that she found many of the knowledge acquired in the classes useful, considering that 80% of her life is now in English.

Point A: Constant changes in teachers at school led to a lack of confidence in the language and difficulties at university: fear of speaking and making mistakes. She stopped attending university classes and decided to prepare independently because she realized she wouldn’t pass IELTS otherwise.

She worked with one tutor for about six months, but he was “too lenient,” constantly giving high scores and praising all assignments. Polina found Victoria on her fifth attempt (previously encountering teachers who were too harsh, treated her like a child, or whose competence she doubted), fearing she wouldn’t have enough time to prepare or that it would be too difficult because the lessons were entirely in English, which was challenging at first. She was afraid she would continue to fear the language and simply “memorize” something without learning to communicate.

Point B: Overall 7.0, C1, in the internal exam at HSE, with a discount on tuition. Polina liked Victoria because she was young (she thought it would be easier to connect and she wouldn’t be a “strict Soviet teacher” like those she had encountered before), a true professional (she realized this from the extensive list of achievements on the website and during their first meeting), and friendly. The lessons were comfortable, yet the teacher/student boundary was maintained. Another factor in her decision was a promotional video from London: none of her previous teachers had been to an English-speaking country, and they knew it only from textbooks, while here was a wonderful young woman with education, good reviews, her methodology, freely conversing, traveling, improving her qualifications. Thanks to Victoria, Polina understood how to start applying different speech constructions and not be afraid to speak, started watching movies in English, stopped being afraid to communicate with foreigners, found it easier to study at the university and work with sources in the language. She started reading classics in the original language and even planned to go abroad for a study mobility program, but due to recent events, it didn’t happen. She fell in love with the language and began using it: according to Polina, it’s worth more than any exam passed, something no tutor could give her before.

Point A: Overall 7.5 (L7.5, R8.0, W6.5, S7.0). The goal was a minimum of 7.0 in each section, with the main problem being a lack of understanding of the writing and speaking assessment criteria.

The certificate was necessary to obtain a work visa in Australia (in the IT field). With only 1.5 months left and a large family – a husband and two children – Nadezhda worried that she wouldn’t have enough time to prepare properly and allocate time for preparation due to all her responsibilities.

Point B: Overall 8.0, C1 (L8.5, R7.5, W7.0, S8.0). Thanks to consistent work twice a week in classes and regular writing of essays at home, Nadezhda overcame the 6.5 barrier in the writing section – the biggest problem for most students – and also improved her score in the speaking and listening sections by 1 point!

I took the IELTS exam in December 2019, it was necessary for my master’s program. The minimum threshold score for the program of my dreams was 7.0.

I had experience studying foreign languages and it seemed like I spoke fluently, but international exams are always challenging for students with their structure and requirements, so I decided to turn to a tutor. There wasn’t much time left before the exam when I reached out to Victoria.

The teacher clearly explained the entire structure, clarified how to correctly tackle the Writing section, which many students dread. The tasks were very informative and interesting, and we even managed to expand our vocabulary. I also want to note that Victoria is very pleasant in communication, so the fear of saying something wrong was minimized, there was no embarrassment, and the classes were held in a very pleasant atmosphere, which is important. I recommended the teacher to all my friends and acquaintances planning to take the IELTS exam. I was happy to receive a score of 8.0, which I didn’t even dream of. Thank you!

A certificate of IELTS was required for admission to the master’s program. However, there was little time to prepare for the exam, so I started classes with Victoria intensively.

In addition to the lessons, Victoria conducted a course on materials for the written part of the exam on the Wordiser platform. The material was laid out in great detail and clarity, and Victoria provided explanations and assignments for reinforcement. During the classes, a lot of time was devoted to theory and exercises to consolidate the material, which contributed to effective learning. In the shortest possible time, Victoria helped me prepare efficiently for the exam and achieve the required score of 7.0 for admission to the master’s program, for which I am very grateful to Victoria.

Thanks to Victoria, I prepared for the IELTS exam in a short time frame and used the certificate to apply to a university in Canada. There was a lot of information and diagrams regarding the written part of the exam.
